Waiting for Godot | Play Bill Poster

This production of Waiting for Godot was done by the Alchemy Theater Company at Theater Out in Santa Ana, California. It’s an absurdist play and both the director and art director had a clear vision of what they wanted. I went through many color iterations before finally settling on a more monochromatic Design.

I wanted to go for a haunted circus feel. I drew some inspiration from old Ringling Brothers posters, however by the end of the design, I had something truly unique. I included elements from the play itself, including the tree and the hat and encased it in a ornate and stylized ring to frame it all.
